  16. A. The placement of the book of Job

  17. Kings & Chronicles (A call to return to the temple) These books cover the story of the fall of the kingdom and the removal of the Jews from the land, and the return of those Jews to the land again. Why would God waste space in his word just to tell you the same thing twice in a row?

  18. (2Ch 36:21-23) To fulfil the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed her sabbaths: for as long as she lay desolate she kept sabbath, to fulfil threescore and ten years. Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD spoken by the mouth of Jeremiah might be accomplished, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying,Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, All the kingdoms of the earth hath the LORD God of heaven given me; and he hath charged me to build him an house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Who is there among you of all his people? The LORD his God be with him, and let him go up.

  19. Kings & Chronicles (A call to return to the temple) • Ezra (a decree to return to the land) In 1917 a gentile king made a decree, stating that the Jews could return home to their land. This was known as the Balfour Declaration

  20. Kings & Chronicles (A call to return to the temple) • Ezra (a decree to return to the land) • Nehemiah(building the walls) In 1948 the walls (Boundaries) were rebuilt. These walls speak of Israel’s territories and protection as a nation

  21. Kings & Chronicles (A call to return to the temple) • Ezra (a decree to return to the land) • Nehemiah(building the walls) • Esther(the removal of a Gentile queen and in • with Jewish queen) The next thing to happen on God’s prophetic time clock is the removal of his Bride (the Church). Which will happen in the same generation as those of 1948

  22. Kings & Chronicles (A call to return to the temple) • Ezra (a decree to return to the land) • Nehemiah(building the walls) • Esther(the removal of a Gentile queen and in • with Jewish queen) • Job (tribulation) As soon as the rapture of the church has occurred, there will began a 7 year tribulation that is divided into 2 parts (Tribulation and Great Tribulation)

  23. Kings & Chronicles • Ezra • Nehemiah • Esther • Job • Psalms(the king on a throne) After the tribulation will be the return of Christ to this earth to rule for a 1000 year day (millennium)

  24. Kings & Chronicles • Ezra • Nehemiah • Esther • Job • Psalms • Proverbs (nations seeking wisdom from the • King) During this time nations will come to Jerusalem to sit at the feet of the king to gain wisdom

  25. Kings & Chronicles (A call to return to the temple) • Ezra (a decree to return to the land) • Nehemiah(building the walls) • Esther(the removal of a Gentile queen and in • with Jewish queen) • Job (tribulation) • Psalms(the king on a throne) • Proverbs (nations seeking wisdom from the • King)

  26. B. The Panorama of the book of Job

  27. Job’s name means persecuted or hated (Rev 12:13) And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.

  28. Job’s story takes place in the land of Uz This is the land of Edom, also know in the Hebrew as Selah or in Greek as Petra (the rock) This is the very place where the Jews will go to hide at the 3 ½ (42 months) year point in till the return of Christ

  29. Job has 42 chapters • There are 42 chapters in the book of Job. • The same number of months that Satan will serve as the anti Christ • The same number of months that Christ served on his earthly ministry

  30. Job was attacked personally by Satan (Rev 12:9) And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. (Rev 12:12) Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

  31. Job was restored The whole design of the tribulation was to bring the Jews back to God

  32. C. The Points of the book of Job

  33. Comparing scripture with scripture (Job 1:16) While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The fire of God is fallen from heaven, and hath burned up the sheep, and the servants, and consumed them; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. (Rev 13:12-13) And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,

  34. Comparing scripture with scripture (Job 1:13) And there was a day when his sons and his daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house: (Mat 24:37-38) But as the days of Noewere, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

  35. 1. Job’s Sores (Job 2:7) So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown.

  36. Comparing scripture with scripture (Rev 16:2) And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image. (Rev 16:11) And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.

  37. Comparing scripture with scripture (Job 2:9) Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die.

  38. Comparing scripture with scripture (Deu28:58-61) If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, THE LORD THY GOD; Then the LORD will make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, even great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance. Moreover he will bring upon thee all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast afraid of; and they shall cleave unto thee. Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will the LORD bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed.

  39. Comparing scripture with scripture (Exo9:10-11) And they took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled it up toward heaven; and it became a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast. And the magicians could not stand before Moses because of the boils; for the boil was upon the magicians, and upon all the Egyptians.

  40. 2. Job’s Wife (Job 2:9) Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die.

  41. Adam’s Bride tempted him to sin (Gen 3:6) And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

  42. False bride tempting people to sin (Rev 17:5-6) And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.

  43. 3. Job’s Friends (Job 2:11) Now when Job's three friends heard of all this evil that was come upon him, they came every one from his own place; Eliphaz the Temanite, and Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite: for they had made an appointment together to come to mourn with him and to comfort him.

  44. Their counsel • Pious torment • Accused Job • False Reprehensive • Contained a lot of truth

  45. Who do they represent? (Act 1:25) That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.

  46. (Joh6:70-71) Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil? He spake of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon: for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve.

  47. (Joh 17:12) While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

  48. (2Th 2:3-4) Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
