  1. ISO 9001 Certification for Ensuring the Quality of Products and Service ISO 9001 belongs to the family of ISO 9000 of the Quality Management System (QMS). It was first published in the year 1987 by International Organization for standardization. Based on the series of BS 5750 standards from BSI that was proposed to ISO in the year 1979. As per the statistics, nearly a billion companies are now ISO 9001 certified. There are several factors attributed to the global adoption of this standard. Base on specific contractual situations standard requirements could be tailored depending on the product complexity, and business type which includes design responsibility, manufacture, distribution, and servicing, etc. and risk to the producer. Implementation of this standard can be done based on internal resources and external resources. External resources have more benefit then Internal resources in terms of auditing, consulting in terms of implementation, covering risks, payback and statistics effectiveness. It also provides guidance and tools to the Organizations that want consistent maintaining and improvement in the quality of products and services. Regardless of any size and nature of the Business, any organization can have this certificate.
