What is VuSafe? VuSafe is an online filter that will provide teachers with completely open access to YouTube in order to search, find, and save safe, and educationally appropriate videos to a VuSafe collection that will be searcheable and viewable for students. Remember: • Teacher's can access YouTube completely unfiltered through VuSafe. • Students can access YouTube videos from the VuSafe collection. These videos are filtered and this doesn't provide open access to YouTube.
DO Browse YouTube for videos that will enhance learning in your classroom. View the video in its entirity before adding it to the VuSafe collection. Keep in mind that other teachers, students, and administrators can and will access the videos added from YOUR account. Keep your VuSafe password information to yourself. DON'T Download videos without verifying FOR YOURSELF that they are clean. Give students access to your account while you're logged in so that they can search YouTube while it is wide open. Forget that the videos that are downloaded while you are logged in can be tracked to your account, regardless of how it is categorized. VuSafe Do's and Don'ts
