  1. Our First American Experiences

  2. This is our story. Our last day in Vietnam was filled with mixed emotions. We were sad to leave our beautiful country and family but we were also excited about going to America!

  3. After one week it was time for us to go to our first American school. We were so nervous.

  4. When we walked into the classroom everyone was looking at us. We were looking at them too. They looked very different than our friends in Vietnam! The kids had blonde hair and blue eyes! We knew we were walking into a new world!!

  5. It was February 14th! We had our very first Valentine’s party! Our new friends gave us nice cards and sweet candies!

  6. We had an exciting day at school ! Our teacher made pancakes. It was our first time to ever taste one. It was so yummy!!!!

  7. One morning when we woke up everything was covered in a white blanket of snow! In Vietnam we don’t ever get snow, so we played outside all day and took pictures to send to our family back in Vietnam!

  8. Hooray for camp Grady Spruce! Going to camp is something we will always remember ! We learned a lot of things when we were there. We rode horses, used a compass, rode a canoes and went hiking. We had the most wonderful time of our lives!!

  9. Now, our hearts belong to two places. We are very proud to be Vietnamese and very happy to be living in The United States of America!
