TKEYS Alignment • Standard 5 – Assessment Strategies: The teacher systematically and consistently chooses a variety of diagnostic, formative, and summative assessment strategies and instruments that are valid and appropriate for the content and student population. • Standard 6 – Uses of Assessment: The teacher systematically and consistently gathers, analyzes, and uses relevant data to measure student progress, to inform instructional content and delivery methods, and to provide timely and constructive feedback to both students and parents.

Let’s Practice • Download the file Data_Protocol_Blank.xlsx from your email. Save the file to your desktop • Open the file. • Practice entering data (student scores, student names, etc. on the spreadsheet). • Practice navigating the different tabs. • Practice saving the spreadsheet. • Practice attaching the spreadsheet to an email and sending it to milesmath@gmail.com
Reporting Your Data • Data should be turned in to • Mr. Miles (jmiles@atlanta.k12.ga.us), • Ms. Mayfield (kmayfield@atlanta.k12.ga.us), • and Mrs. Healey (ghealey@atlanta.k12.ga.us) via email by the close of business (4:30pm) each Monday. • Files should be named using the following structure LastName_FirstName_Date_Quarter.xls • Miles_Jovan_08.23.2013_Q1.xls • Teachers may want to print a hard copy, store a copy of their files on a jump drive, on dropbox, or on google drive to prevent data loss.
