Does the IF bound the seismicity of the NCA, or is the IF itself seismically active? • Is the VSB still active? Is its steep dip real or do the eqs belong to separate reflectors? • Is the mid-crustal activity in the Southern Alps localized or distributed along a detachment horizon? • What do the focal mechanisms indicate? • Long recording time (> 2 years) • Dense stations (5 km N-S, 10 km E-W)
