  4. Case story for Nose Ring – Castables D52A Problem: In year 2008 the plant was having a problem with the castables used in the Nose Ring in the Kiln. They used to stop the kiln after less than 6 months for repairing the nose ring and it was a big issue for the plant.

This time we have taken annual shutdown earlier in September which was scheduled in January,2012 due to some other reason. We replaced brick lining in burning and transition zone but had minor repair of Nose Ring Castable. We did not go for its replacement due to excellent condition of castable and to avoid prolonged shutdown. Thickness of Castable was as good as new casted except few corners had worne out which were repaired by chipping,anchoring, fixing proper steel shuttering and pouring Hasle D52 Castable. We expect life time upto minimum 18 months and we shall try upto 24 months so that it should be replaced during next annual shutdown.This will help you in presentingcompanyXX case study in Bangkok Seminar.Best RegardsMr. XXManager ProductionThe plant

Case story for Nose Ring – Castables D52A • After this good experience the plant has decided to continue to use the castable from HASLE Refractories. • Recently they made contract with HASLE Refractories to use the castable for: • The kiln hood • Grate cooler • The Bull nose. • The local Contractor for installation is KARRENA as arranged by AL-CEM APS.

Prince Faisal Bin Abdul Majeed Bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud (Chairman of The Board). The company began the first production line in July, 2007 with a nominal capacity of 5,000 tons per day. Due to increasing demand in the domestic market and neighboring countries, the board had decided the establishment of the second-line with the same capacity which has been come into stream in April, 2010, while both lines have an in-built capacity of 11,000 tons/day.
