ADRION first call for proposals – Overall objective …to act as a policy driver and governanceinnovator fostering European integration among Partner States, taking advantage from the rich natural, cultural and human resources surrounding the Adriatic and Ionian seas and enhancing economic, social and territorial cohesion in the Programme area.

  6. ADRION ProgrammeProgramme Budget ‘The overall programme budget amounts to EUR 117.918.198, out of which EUR 99.156.616 of EU public resources (EUR 83.467.729 ERDF and EUR 15.688.887 IPA funds)’

ADRION ProgrammeSupported actions • shall support “soft” actions which could potentially have a long term effect • exchange and transfer experiences between regions • support transnational interventions & capacity building • support the constitution of multilevel and intersectoral working teams and partnerships • contribute to better living conditions • Might support investments in small scales facilities or infrastructures in duly justified cases (pilot projects and territorial experiences). • No heavy investments, development of large infrastructures • No scientific and technology research as such • [ADRION Cooperation Programme, p. 28-29]

ADRION ProgrammeTransnational cooperation • Coverage of large areas with a high diversity of regions and often conflicting interests; • Delivering mainly intangible results; • Emphasis on the constitution of partnerships supporting the integration of all Partner States; • Fully optimize synergies and complementarities, align to EUSAIR Pillars, mobilize follow-up activities implemented under the ADRION label; • Not aimed to answer the needs of a limited number of partners, but contribute to better living conditions in the area. • [Adrion Cooperation Programme, p. 28]

ADRION first call for proposals – Alignment ADRION-EUSAIR • Even if there are several common elements between ADRION and EUSAIR, there is no perfect matching; • Matching is done between ADRION Priority Axes and EUSAIR Pillars as reported in the Programme Manual; no cross-matching is allowed (e.g.: ADRION Priority Axis 1 and EUSAIR Pillar 4); • ADRION documentation (Cooperation Programme, Programme Manual etc.) drives the call for proposals.
