In the 1950s • Television station • Rediffusion Television(RTV) (麗的電視有限公司) • Established on 29th May, 1957. • Wired dissemination 3. HK$25 a month
TV programmes • In the April of 1957, licensewas sent out to RTV(麗的呼聲) by the Hong Kong government • The first live program---“happy family”(幸福的家庭), which played in RTV .
Popularization • First TV channel was set up in Hong Kong — the Radifusion (麗的呼聲). • It was not free to provide to resident. • Only rich family can enjoy this entertainment. • Had not be popularization yet
In the 1960s • Television station • Held the 1st Television Entertainer Training Class. A. Rediffusion Television(RTV) (麗的電視有限公司)
Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB)(電視廣播有限公司) • Established on 19th November, 1967 • Wireless dissemination • Free • Broadcasted 24 hours every day • Established Chinese(Jade) and English(Pearl) TV Channel
TV programmes • 1963-ATV played foreign movies and started making localprograms • “woman world”(女人世界) • “Happy Birthday”(快樂生辰) • “ATV Concert”(麗的音樂會)
TV programmes • There was a program in TVB----- EYT (歡樂今宵), which was the longest life program in the world. It was played on TVB on 20th November, 1967. • Starting from 1968 , there was a revolution of TV program. There were new programs developed , such as variety, sporty program. Also ,soap operas were important, which attracted many people to watch.
Popularization • Different brands of television were developed . Price of television was dropped. Many families could afford to buy a television.
In the 1970s • Television Station A.Rediffusion Television(RTV) • Changed to wireless dissemination • Became free. • Established English TV Channel • Colored broadcast.
B. Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB)(電視廣播有限公司) 1. Manufactures Hong Kong first TV serial 2. Changed to colored broadcast. 3. In 1971,held the 1st Television Entertainer Training Class.
C.Commercial Television(佳藝電視) • Started at 6:00p.m.on 7th Sept, 1975. • Couldn’t balance on income and expenditure. • Started to close out on 22th August, 1978. • Declared bankrupt on 19th October, 1978.
TV programmes • In 1967, the Hong Kong Visual Broadcast Limited company promoted the radio broadcasting television program.

The Bund (Shanghai Beach)( 上海灘) • The story take Minguonianjian Shanghai as a background, describes in the Shanghai Gang's character rival in love, with Xu Wenqiang and three women's love story. By Zhou Runfa, Zhao Yazhi, Lu Liangwei act the leading role.
