User Experiences Problem: EDG is slow/cumbersome/difficult to use Solutions: - Data pool will allow many users to avoid using EDG (status: currently being installed in test mode; will move to Ops after internal testing) - NSIDC script being developed to enter queries directly with ESDT/location/start time/stop time/contact info (status: developed for internal use; looking to expand capabilities to facilitate placing user orders covering extended time periods) - Improved EDG tutorial available for users - Subsetting & spatial subscriptions - GISMO-E/PSQ in development with ECHO for polar queries

User Experiences Problem: ISIN projection is difficult to use Solutions: - NSIDC providing EDC with code fixes for MRT (grid problems with CMG) Other NSIDC Activities: - MODIS Land Workshop on Radiation Budget Variables and Snow & Ice Products; Boston, MA; Oct 21-23 - Improved MODIS image gallery available - Improved HDF-EOS support pages (planned) - Better advertisement of NSIDC-developed data manipulation tools (MS2GT, PHDIS)
