  1. LESSON PLAN Name of the teacher – B. MahnazSiddiqui K.V. AFS. TKD. Delhi Date – 26/08/2013 Subject –Art Education Class – X Topic – Animation

  2. What is Animation? Animation (derived from the Latin word,”animare” to breathe life into) is the art of making a film from a series of still drawing.

  3. Introduction of flash: - Flash software is most use full software for 2d animation, like web page or some kind of special effect like clock, calendar or calculator etc. and we can use this software for animated movies. In flash animation there are two kinds of animation, First one is frame by frame animation Second one is by scripting animation.

  4. Origin of Animation Early animation: covers animation on its earliest form: no real starting date, but ends with the rise of the silent age, below The silent age of animation: covers animation history from the early 1900s to the late 1920. The golden age of animation: covers animation history from the early 1920s to the late 1950. The millennium age of animation: covers animation history from early 2000 to where we r now. But Walt Disney is known as the father of animation, because he created the first 2-dimensional character-Mickey Mouse.

  5. Steps to be followed If the drawing or flip-flap book is not prepared then complete the steps first. Draw one by one stepping’s according to the movement. But it should on tracing paper or butter paper only. And the next step will be the animation part on computer.

  6. How to do “two dimensional animations” • First of all we have to scan all the step drawings, which we have already drawn on the tracing paper. • After scanning all the drawing save them all to the desktop or anywhere, but easily searchable place. • We can open the drawings step by step with flash or we can import them also. • Step by step when we import them we have to press F6 key after each drawing. • F6 key is used to show resent drawing and to hide last drawing, basically it used for animation. • We have to direct the student to note down the steps and keys also. • After importing all the drawings to recent layer, we should check them and overlap them, for this we can use onion tool also. • Once our stepping start working or moving, we can trace them with the help of line tool on new layer. • Next step will be to color all the drawings. • We should create a background with the use of any painting or flash background also. • We can import sound also. • Animation is ready to play.
