PARTICIPATION IN EU EXERCISES EU Emergency and Crisis Coordination Arrangements (CCA) CCA Exercise 2010 (fifth exercise in this context) purpose: testing the alerting and management structures scenarios: incidents which might come up in future participants: EU Presidency (lead), Commission, Member States, Agencies

RESPONSE CAPABILITY – RABIT • Legal basis: Regulation (EC) No 863/ 2007 • deployment of EU MS border guards in case of urgent • and exceptional migratory pressure at EU external borders • short-term assistance • control of external EU borders remains with requesting MS • Frontex has established and maintains RABIT Pool (700) • November 2010 – March 2011 first RABIT Operation (GR)
