Where to from here? • October 2012 - agree on Games governance and contribution with State government • November 2012 to December 2013 - legal agreements, legislative frameworks, master planning, early enabling works • January 2014 to June 2017 - staged delivery of sports infrastructure, transport infrastructure, public domain & Games Village • January 2012 to March 2018 - mobilisation of Games operations (including test events), community engagement and media/public relations • April 2018 - host 2018 Commonwealth Games • June 2018 to June 2019 - transition of infrastructure and other legacy programmes

Games engagement and communication • Formal establishment of dedicated Commonwealth Games Unit • Strong collaboration with GOLDOC and the State Government • Who do we need to engage with? • The big picture – building tolerance and passion • Volunteers, youth and the business community • City branding and vision • Marathon not a sprint – still a blank canvas!
