1. Status of R-WIP in RA-VI • WIGOS Implementation Plan • A draft plan was further detailed during a workshop held in Madrid, May 2013, and was submitted for approval to RA VI-16. • With Resolution 4.4/1 the Regional WIGOS Implementation Plan for RA-VI was adopted in September 2013, a living document which will be updated according to future needs. • At the RA-VI Session in September 2013 the WG-TDI was re-established, with WIGOS Implementation being a main priority for next intersession period.

1. Next steps • At the coming RA-VI MG meeting in March 2014 a WIGOS TT will be re-established under WG-TDI • WIGOS TT will be chaired by the TDI Vice Chair • Input from EUMETNET is assured by membership of the OBS PM • WIGOS TT TORs with special focus on National WIGOS Implementation Plans • National WIGOS implementation: Examples of good practice from members having WIGOS already implemented will be advertised • Organising a workshop to present experiences of WIGOS implementation from/to RA VI members

Next steps • Enforcing co-operation with HMEI • Clarify the role of increasing number of third party OS within WIGOS • Co-ordinate national and international studies on wind turbine risk – Impact on WIGOS • Promote the need for radio frequency allocations for meteorological applications • Link between regional experts and CBS OPAG-IOS: Chairs WG-TDI should be invited to CBS sessions
