Facility Option # 1: Modular Buildings • Quick and Easy • Usually a short term solution • Limited Creativity • Need land • Usually a lease • Needs site work, utilities, and other infrastructure • Enrollment < 300 students Ex. ALA, Shining Rock Classical Academy
Facility Option # 2: Facility Conversion/Shared Space • Churches, Warehouses, Strip Mall, etc. • Infrastructure usually already present (parking, utilities, etc.) • Zoning Considerations • Landlocked • Requires creativity; can be costly • Enrollment Numbers can vary by space Ex. Healthy Start Academy, Vance Charter School
Facility Option # 3: New Construction • Great Marketing Tool • Expensive and Difficult to Finance • Longer Construction Time • Can be creative and design for your program • Delays a possibility (if not inevitable) • Can be done in phases • Enrollment > 300 students Ex. Voyager Academy, Falls Lake Academy
