Emergency Services • Current Issues • ESF 4 & 9 • Three (3) areas of operation expanding from initial bases. • Stennis and Hancock County: Region 1 Mutual Aid Radio Cache (MARC) Unit and Engine Strike Team (ST) 3 (one engine in Stennis, three engines in Pearl River County, and one engine in Stone County) to support local Fire Departments. • Biloxi and Harrison County: Fl Task Force (TF) 3, 5, and 8, Engine ST 1, Water Rescue from TF 3, & Region 5 MARC Unit. • Pascagoula and Jackson County: FL TF 4, Engine ST 2. • Three additional Engine Strike Teams are being moved: ST 4 and ST 5 from Escambia, and Okaloosa Counties moved to Harrison County; ST 6 from Manatee County moved to Hancock County. • Identifying ten water tankers to move into the counties. • MARC unit from Tallahassee moved to support DOF Gold team at Harrison County Gulf Coast Coliseum. • Water Rescue from TF 9 being demobilized. • Identifying replacements and additional personnel for several command and forward ESF 4 & 9 positions. • Multiple units from Division of Forestry (Gold Team, Blue Team, IMT) working both here and in Mississippi.

  25. Emergency Services • Current Issues • ESF 8 • 102 EMS personnel continue to operate out of Stennis Space Center in MS. EMS strike teams consist of 46 ambulances, 9 command vehicles, 2 special operations vehicles and 3 support vehicles. • Additional 20 ambulances, 5 Fire/Search Vehicles, 4 RVs, 2 SUVs/expanded cab trucks (chase vehicles), 1 Penske/Supply Truck deployed 9/2 at 1600, to Mississippi: • 6 RERAs continue to support field operations related to assessment and coordination of health related missions • 2 ESF-8 liaisons continue to provide assistance at the Mississippi SEOC in Jackson. • Nursing Assessment team rostered (Consists of 1 Nursing Supervisor, 5 RNs, 1Clerical Support. • 6 SpNs teams rostered. • Health Coordination Team continues to coordinate hospital and SNF search and rescue activities. • Additional deployment teams being identified behavioral health, epidemiology, CISM, PIO were deployed 9/2 at 1600: Behavioral health (CISM) team (7), Environmental health team (10), PIO (2) • 5 Disaster Medical Assistance Teams (DMATs) staged to deploy. • Hurricane surveillance poison control for Katrina in Florida is suspended.

Emergency Services • Current Issues • ESF 10 • 2 two man DEP teams are en-route to Mississippi for Haz-Mat assessment in Harrison County • Monitoring Haz-Mat and Environmental Protection issues in SE and NW Florida areas • Providing Debris Management information to EMAC Tracker for Mississippi • ESF 16 • 562 Law Enforcements personnel have been deployed as of 0901/2005 • LE MAC established in Harrison, Hancock, Jackson and Pearl River Counties

Infrastructure • Current Issues • ESF2 • Monitoring impact to communications infrastructures (trk# 42) • Mobilizing EMAC support team. • Mobilizing transportable communications equipment in support of EMAC operations. • ESF 12 (Fuel) • Numerous fuel requests from Florida Counties, Schoolboards, and Municipalities • Per AAA, Escambia County has about 70% stations w/o fuel and 25% running low; other panhandle counties have mostly spot-outages. • Red Dye Diesel waived for road use in FL, AL, MS and LA. • Fuel available at Milton and Crestview FDOT Maintenance Yards for first responders deploying to (or from) Mississippi Area of Ops. • DEP, FDOT, FWC and SERT Logistics preparing fuel strategy.

(CoOps) - 338,363 w/o power • Miss Power – 167,000 w/o power (28,000 have been restored) • Energy –Miss. – 190,759 w/o power • Southernmost counties: • Pearl River Valley Assoc – 40,600 w/o power • Singing River – 64,870 w/o power (100%) • Coast Electric- 68,701 w/o power (100%) • More Details in trk 238 • About 7,500 crews from outside Miss. should be working on power restoration at this time. Estimate about 4weeks to restore power to hard hit areas.
