  8. Career Technical Education (CTE)Definition A program of study that integrates core academic knowledge with technical and occupational knowledge to provide students with a clear pathway to pursue successful postsecondary education and careers.

  9. Career Technical Education California Community Colleges offer over thousands of CTE degrees and certificates that will directly lead to employment in anywhere from 1 semester to 2 years. In 2007-08, the California Community Colleges issued 50,877 awards (AA/AS Degrees and All Credit Certificates)
