A note on manners Thank you notes. Prompt, short, genuine. Errors. Count to ten. Then play the sandwich game. You’ve been found out. Honesty, humility, responsiveness.
Press Releases • Text in the body of the email. • Photo should be a high-resolution .jpg file attached to the email. • Include a caption for the photo, with everyone in the photo identified by name and affiliation. • Your name, phone number (cell, if possible), website, email address, etc. • If writing is not your sport, find a writer. • Stop double-spacing, and break up with the Oxford comma.
Accessibility Don’t hide from your journalist. If you are just busy and can’t be bothered to pick up the phone, you are hiding from your journalist. Your journalist will hunt you down. This is true of good journalists and some bad journalists.
