  2. What is our goal tonight? • Inform the public about Town & Swasey School Warrant Articles (WAs) and Citizen Petitions with financial implications that will be voted on at the Town and School Meetings in March 2019 • Provide Budget Committee current recommendations • Gather public input

  3. What will we cover? • Town WAs & Citizen Petitions with financial implications • Swasey School WAs & Citizen Petitions with financial implications • ERCSD Budget & WA (information purposes only, Brentwood Budget Committee has no jurisdiction over these budgets)

  4. Town Warrant Articles Operating Budget Specific Expenditures Additions to Capital Reserve Funds

  5. Town Operating Budget • $3,994,041 • Increase of $153,319 over FY18 (3.99%) • Many budgets were level funded or decreased • Increases over 10% - ACO, Cemetery, Code Enforcement, Government Buildings, Highway and PD

WAs: Specific Expenditures • Road Repairs (Recommended) • Increase from $350,000 to $400,000 • Martin Property Easement (Recommended) • $150,000 • Veterans credit (Recommended) • $12,7000 • Fire Dept Vehicle Lease (Recommended) • payment new pumper truck, approx. $89K (Final Payment) • Charitable Donations: $6,800 (Recommended)

WAs: Capital Reserves • Bridge Repairs (Recommended) • $50k requested this year; $50k allocated in FY18 • Current balance of$435k • Highway Vehicles (Recommended) • $15k requested this year; $50k allocated in FY18 • Current balance of$185k • Police Facility (Not recommended) • $100k to establish a capital reserve fund for a new police building
