Red Blood Cells • 5,000,000 RBC’s per drop of blood • Carry oxygen through the blood • Oxygen attaches to hemoglobin • Iron is needed to make hemoglobin
White Blood Cells • 5000-8000 per drop of blood • Fight infections and cancers • Amount per drop of blood will increase with infection
Platelets • Initiate blood clotting
