  5. Ask questions! • What country is it from? • Is the transcript from a High School, Institution of Higher Learning or University? • Was the student in a specific degree program? • Did the student earn a degree? Identifying international coursework

Determine level of education by establishing primary, secondary and tertiary benchmarks • Establish whether or not the institution is authorized to grant terminal degrees (ex: BS, MS, or Higher Diplomas) • Review years, semesters, quarters, and/or hours attended.
