Processing collections, finding aids • McComb Collection: 230 35mm slides • Jane Simpson Series: GCA Collection • Inventory -Created box lists to preserve original order of collection • Created a finding aid for the McComb Collection • Opportunity to learn DACS • Culling
Archivists’ Toolkit • Open source database for managing archival collections • Two workshops with SI EAD Coordinator -Archivists’ Toolkit Refresher -Using Steady with Archivists’ Toolkit • Favretti Finding Aid & McComb Finding Aid -Enter collection and accession data
Public Tagging Initiative • Manage “Tag-It-Tuesday” activity on Facebook and Twitter • Users describe images exactly the way they would search for them, which increases the discovery of collections
