Classroom Procedures Expectations and explanations from Mr. Gray
Entering the Classroom • Never enter the classroom if I am not there to greet you and let you in. • As soon as you enter the classroom, you need to leave behind all negativity and bad behavior. We are here to learn and have FUN! • Classroom jobs will be posted on the door every day, so make sure to check and see what your job is while coming into the room. • As soon as you enter, check the board for bell work, important information, or instructions. • If you were absent the day before, make sure to check the missing work tray after reading the board.
Guidelines During Class Time • If you have a question or comment, please raise your hand before asking or saying what you need. • If you need to get out of your seat for any reason, please raise your hand before doing so. • When other students, or me, are speaking please be respectful, active listeners (No talking or messing with other people). Always be respectful, we are a team. • When you have finished an assignment, raise your hand to let me know that you are done so that I can tell you what you need to do next. • All finished assignments that need to be turned in will go in the tray that has your class name in it. • Any supplies that you need for the day can be found in the trays next to my desk, but please ask before taking anything. Also, PLEASE make sure that you return anything that does not belong to you before class is over.
Leaving the Classroom • Before leaving your table, make sure that all trash is picked up and that the floor is as clean as it was when you entered, • When switching classes, the bell does not dismiss you, I dismiss you. I will do my best to make sure that we have plenty of time to put everything away and get ready to switch classes, so just trust me! • Before we switch classes, everybody needs to make sure their chairs are pushed in and all supplies are returned to where they were when you got to class. • We will line up before we walk out of the door, and we need to do so quickly, and quietly.
About Me (Your Awesome, Super Cool, New Favorite Teacher) • I have 3 brothers. Two older brothers, and one younger brother. They are some of my best friends, and I love them! • I went to school in Sanger from Kindergarten to graduation. • I have a dog that we call Big Dog. He’s the sweetest pup in the whole wide world, and he is almost 12 years old! He loves pizza more than I do. • I love camping, going out on the boat, playing golf, watching all kinds of sports, hanging out with friends and family, and coaching. • I went to Tarleton State University. • Teaching is my favorite job I’ve ever had, and I have been here at Lee for two years now. • Any other questions???
