Shot types ELS / XLS Extreme Long Shot - (Extra Long Shot) Extreme Long Shot LS Long Shot - Person occupies 1/4 - 1/3 screen height. MLS Medium Long Shot - Full Length Shot- Entire body plus a little above and below. KNEE Knee Shot - 3/4 length Shot. Cuts body just below the knees. MS Medium Shot - (Mid Shot, Close Medium Shot, waist shot. Cuts body just below the waist.
Shot types MCU Medium Close Up - (Bust Shot, chest shot) - cuts body at lower chest breast-pocket, armpit. CU Close-Up - Just above head to upper chest - cuts below the tie knot. BCU Big Close Up - Tight CU, full head. Full head height nearly fits screen. VCU Very Close-up - Face shot from mid forehead to above chin. ECU Extreme Close Up - Detail Shot Isolated Detail
