Synopsis – Act 1 The world is polluted. The pollution has stopped the sun from shining and oxygen/air is running out. Society breaks down and there are wars and fighting for the remaining air. People begin to wear masks connected to air tanks to help them breathe. People who don’t have a mask don’t survive more than a month. Death rates fly through the roof. People are relying on pockets of air which are found beneath the earths surface – don’t last very long. The protagonist comes across an old man who is about to die – he offers him food and water. The man see’s the good in him and gives him a plant that releases infinity amount of oxygen (which has evolved to live in this new environment) – the man tells him to protect it with his life and take it to a society down south.
Act 2 The society down the south is built of the greatest minds of the world trying to build a new society, the protagonist begins his ‘mission’. He comes across trouble along the way – Gangs of people who have become animalistic who try and destroy anyone that crosses their path. Lack of food, and trying to survive the harsh conditions. The protagonist comes across a young boy/girl on his way, who's barely surviving and he tags along with him, they end up becoming good friends.
Act 3 The man reaches the society with the boy and gets the plant to them, hope for rebirth of humanity, he’s injured for protecting the plant and the boy/girl and ends up dyeing at the end. The boy lives on in this new society and the scientist/great minds build a new society around this plant. People are able to take of their masks and breath freely. Sun begins to shine.
Main Characters – How they’ll be represented The tribe of people are animalistic and do anything to survive – kill anyone in their path. The protagonist will be between worlds, the boy and the plant will remind him of the old world bringing him back to humanity. He will be male because its stereotypical that the guy is the hero in post-apocalyptic films. The boy/girl will be venerable – so the protagonist will feel obliged to protect him. (forced into being the good guy). They remind the protagonist of humanity.
