Tips for avoiding senioritis Completing senior year at the top of your game! Maintaining a good GPA • A campus can rescind your admission if your senior GPA falls dramatically. Keep your goals in mind Have good study skills and time management
Study Skills • 1. Be organized • 4. Take quality notes • 2. Do the hardest subjects first • 5. Ask Questions and get help when you need it • 3. Form study groups
Tips to maintain and increase your GPA • Ask your high school about tutoring services. It’s never too late • Work with your teachers at lunch or afterschool-especially if struggling. • Try not to take all-electives courses. Mix it up! Take honors, AP, and community college courses in addition to fun electives.
Time Management Tips • Make reminders of important dates/deadlines • Create a time management chart • Use it and stick to it • Keep a calendar and plan ahead
Testing: CAHSEE • Testing Dates: • October 2nd, 3rd 2012February 5th, 6th 2013 Must pass CAHSEE to obtain a high school diploma • All high schools are required to offer CAHSEE tutoring. Ask about it ASAP!
