  4. Political Affiliation • Republicans are against gay marriage • Independents are slightly more for same-sex marriage • Democrats are mostly for gay marriage

  5. Age of Acceptance • The older generation is less accepting or is against it • The younger part of the population and young adults are for gay marriage

  6. Benefits Not Allowed • Social Security Benefits •  Gift Taxes • Transfer •  Marriage Benefits •  Marriage Exemption to Federal Estate Though people against gay marriage believe these rights shouldn't be allowed to gay couples.
