  2. Where are they? • Under the water in a submarine. Called the Nautilus.

  3. 3 Characters • Ned Land – A strong man that harpoons whales. • Professor Aronnax – Very smart and likes to discover new things. • Captain Nemo – The commander of the Nautilus and knows everything about the sea.

  4. Plot • The professor, Ned and Conseil were thrown off a ship and were then picked up by a submarine. • They were treated really well but weren’t allowed to leave the Nautilus. • The captain attacked ships including the Abraham Lincoln. • The three captives finally escaped the Nautilus while Nemo and his crew killed by a whirlpool.

  5. Lessons • There is always a lesson to be learnt after terrorizing harmless people. The captain had nothing left to live for so he killed himself and the rest of the crew ship by being sucked in a whirlpool.
