Vintage Model Cars Construction Vintage machines have a way of taking us back in history, making us get in touch with art in its raw and untamed state. Having a vintage scale model car has almost the same effect. So, how are they made? First things first, we get all the vintage model car kits on a sprue tree, which is basically a skeleton of the car. Each and every individual car model has its own kit. Each part has to be fitted precisely to match the original cars. The parts are then glued together. To give it the vintage touch, some models are sanded a little. Just like that, you have a part of as far back as the 1930’s with you. Smaller scale models such as the 1:8 take a short time to put up which larger scale models have to be more detailed and so take a tad more time. Military Model Cars Construction We all love a military theme. It gives us that much desired bad-ass side. For those who have not got the chance to experience the military first hand, military model cars come close giving you the idea of what actual military vehicles look like. Equipped with all the ammo (not live of course), these pieces of art are a must have. The thing about military scale models is that they have the smallest scale, up to 1:500. It is understandable, though, since most of the military machinery is huge, ranging from military trucks and jeeps to destroyers, tanks, and Humvees. How are they put together? You may ask. Well, here is how. Just like their vintage counterparts, the parts have to be categorically organized and put together to build the models. All the parts are attached to the spruce trees before being trimmed and painted in the military colors. Finally, the models have to be brought to life, and what better way to do so than by applying decals. These usually flags of countries and the medical flag for medical vehicles.
With model cars, there is no room for getting it wrong. Everything must be fitted perfectly. That is just what makes them the exemplary pieces of art that they are!
