A theory of biological evolution developed by Charles Darwin and others, stating that all species of organisms arise and develop over a vast period of time through the natural selection of small, inherited variations that increase the individual's ability to compete, survive, and reproduce. Natural Selection: the process whereby organisms better adapted to their environment tend to survive and produce more offspring. The theory of its action was first fully expounded by Charles Darwin and is now believed to be the main process that brings about evolution.

Through the process of descent with modification, the common ancestor of life on Earth gave rise to the fantastic diversity that we see documented in the fossil record and around us today. HOW COULD THAT POSSIBLY HAPPEN BY CHANCE? • EVEN IF A CELL COULD ACCIDENTALLY ARISE BY CHANCE CIRCUMSTANCES, THEN… • HOW LONG WOULD YOU EXPECT IT TO SURVIVE ON IT’S OWN? • HOW COULD IT POSSIBLY LEARN TO MAKE AN EXACT COPY OF ITSELF? • IF IT AROSE BY CHANCE, WHY WOULD IT MAKE A COPY OF ITSELF?

THEISTIC EVOLUTION GAP THEORY PROGRESSIVE CREATION DAY/AGE THEORY FRAMEWORK HYPOTHESIS All of these schools of thought seek to combine a belief in God and the Bible with the ideals of evolution and the millions of years THIS VERSE DESCRIBES THE ABSENCE OF TIME WHEN WE ARE WITH THE LORD, IT DOES NOT SUGGEST THAT THE WORD “DAY” IN GENESIS COULD BE UNDERSTOOD AS A THOUSAND YEARS. 2 PETER 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.   19. A SPIRITUALLY DANGEROUS COMBINATION The concept of evolution is completely contradictory to the Genesis account of a literal six day creation. The two ideas are absolutely incompatible! • There is no scripture to support this idea • It completely undermines the authority of the Bible • The gospel is totally diluted by this compromise • It is based on the beliefs of atheist secular scientists • It suggests a resistance to accept, or a shame in • believing, the inspired word of God MILLIONS OF YEARS

  22. THE TWO IDEAS ARE CATEGORICALLY AT ODDS WITH ONE ANOTHER GOD CREATES, 6,000 YRS, MAN SINS, DEATH ENTERS THE WORLD BIG BANG, BILLIONS OF YEARS, DEATH & SUFFERING, THEN MAN TO TRY AND BELIEVE IN BOTH IS TO NOT FULLY UNDERSTAND WHAT EITHER BELIEF IS TEACHING

  23. CAN I BELIEVE IN BOTH? YES. BUT HONESTLY ASK YOURSELF THIS… IF I HONESTLY BELIEVE, IN MY HEART, IN ALL OF THESE BIBLICAL TRUTHS, WHY WOULDN’T I BELIEVE WHAT THE BIBLE TEACHES ABOUT JESUS SPEAKING THE WORLD INTO EXISTENCE AND CREATING ALL LIVING CREATURES IN SIX DAYS? • Do I believe what the Bible teaches about Jesus being born by a Virgin? • Do I believe what the Bible teaches about Jesus living a perfect life? • Do I believe what the Bible teaches about Jesus dying on the cross for my sins? • Do I believe what the Bible teaches about Jesus resurrecting from the dead?

ECCLESIASTES 7:25 25 I applied mine heart to know, and to search, and to seek out wisdom, and the reason of things, and to know the wickedness of folly, even of foolishness and madness: 1 JOHN 5:20 20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
