How can we understand and live the Truth? Jesus himself knows that we are not able to bear its “weight.” That’s why during the last supper with his disciples, before returning to his Father, he promised to send his Spirit to explain his words to us and help us live them.

How can we understand and live the Truth? Jesus himself knows that we are not able to bear its “weight.” That’s why during the last supper with his disciples, before returning to his Father, he promised to send his Spirit to explain his words to us and help us live them. Throughout the history of the Church, the Spirit had lead Christians along this journey in many ways, through the study of believers, through the charisms of the saints, through the teaching of the Church. The Holy Spirit also speaks in the hearts of all believers, where he dwells and makes his “voice” heard. He suggests that we forgive, serve, give and love, each in its own time.He teaches us what is good and what is evil. He reminds us to live the Word of Life that the Gospel places in our hearts month by month. How should we live this month’s Word of Life?By listening to the inner voice that speaks within us, by being docile to the Holy Spirit who guides us, urges us on, gives us a push. Christians have to follow the promptings of the Holy Spirit as they journey through life. To better understand, and even amplify, this voice, let’s live in unity with one another, so that we can learn to listen to the voice of the Spirit not only within ourselves, but also “present among us, when we are united in his name.” In my class there is an Arab boy who has ideas that are different from ours and so the whole class made fun of him. I didn’t want them to make fun of me, too, and so I kind of ignored him. I felt kind of uneasy about my attitude, and I shared my feelings with the others in the Young for Unity. By listening to that voice, we experience with great surprise how we progress in perfection. Little by little our faults disappear and our virtues begin to stand out. right away that I had to change my ways. So gradually I started to make friends with him. One day, I saw that he was pretty sad about a bad grade he had received, so I talked to him about it. This made him very happy and so I kept it up, until we became good friends. My other classmates made some remarks about me, but I also realized that they respected me, and after a while, a group of my classmates joined us because they wanted to get to know him better. We started helping him with his homework. One day he invited me to his house, and I could see how difficult his life is and understand much better how hard it is for him.
