  2. The things they use. What they have to wear- Usually physical therapist have to wear scrubs. What tools they use- Physical therapist use everything from mats to exercise machines. One main tools they use are steps. Being a physical therapist is very physically demanding!

  3. Their education & training. • Education- To become a physical therapist you have to have a post graduate professional. Physical therapy programs usually award a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree, although a small number award a Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) degree. • Training- You have to go to a seven year program. Four years in collage and three years for doctoral degree.

  4. A physical therapist’s salary. A physical therapists salary starting out is usually The average starting salary of physical therapists is $57,220. A physical therapist salary per hour is $36.69, and their salary yearly is $76,310.

  5. Attributes & Abilities To be a PT you have to have compassion, you have to be detail oriented, dexterity (comfortable with your hands), and physical stamina. If you lack some of these a PT is not your job. You are going to have to be strong and patient.

  6. The job outlook. The job is expected to increase 39% from 2010 to 2020, much faster than the average for all occupations.

  7. Duties of a PT. A PT will diagnose a patient’s dysfunctional movements by watching them stand or walk and by listening to their concerns, among other methods.

  8. Duties of a PT. A PT will set up a plan to help their students. They will also evaluate a patients’ progress. To help the patient and the family they will educate the family and the patient about what to expect during recovery from injury and illness.

  9. Duties of a PT. A physical therapists’ job is to help patients restore bodily functions, prevent permanent disability, and relieve pain after an injury or illness. Physical therapist are employed in hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, schools, and physicians' offices.
