MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS PUT HERE • He created the first library and first fire department in Pennsylvania. • He also started the University of Pennsylvania. • He proved through an experiment with a kite and a key that lightening is electricity. • Helped write the Declaration of Independence. INTERESTING FACTS PUT PICTURE HERE • At the age if 16, he became an excellent swimmer. • At the age of 22, he owned his own printing company where he printed money for the states of Pennsylvania and Delaware. • Taught himself to read French, Latin, Italian, and Spanish.
