Revolutionaries were people who tried to influence politics and religion based on what they saw as good. Who were the Revolutionaries?
ViewOfGod • The revolutionaries believed in god and attempted to try to live their lives in accordance with the bible. However, they also believed god only helped those who helped themselves.
What are their values? The Revolutionaries respected and valued only their beliefs: i.e. Religion and politics.
How do they define truth? Revolutionaries defined truth as science and logic.
Do they have an optimistic or pessimistic view of life? Based on their view of man and society, they only saw themselves as great or good, they had a pessimistic view of everyone else.
What are their views of work and worldly success? The revolutionaries viewed work as a privilege and they must work hard to get paid well and succeed.
What are their views on society? • They had negative views on society, because society refuses to except their religion. • The American Revolution was about states rights, not religions. Slavery was the big issue.
Who is their authority? • The revolutionaries leaders were basically the one’s that were in command of the operation it self, in 1775 the first leader which was in charge of the first armed encounter of the American Revolution was Paul Revere, and then "The United Colonies of America," adopted the troops engaged in the siege of Boston as their own "Continental Army," and by unanimous vote appointed George Washington as commander in chief.
What’s their views on education? • They believed in teaching a trade for future work, much like our vocational schools now a days.
The Revolutionaries believed that all men were evil. They believed they were born evil and could only become good if they believed in the same teachings, religion, politics, and etc. that the Revolutionaries believed in. Neutral Man: The Good, The Bad, or the Neutral?
