  2. St. John Eudes – The Life and the Kingdom of Jesus in the Soul • Consider your neighbor as the object of the love of God, no matter what his condition may be. For God loves everything he’s created— even the demons, in as far as they are his creatures— and he doesn’t hate anything he’s made. Sin alone he despises, and sin wasn’t made by him. Your neighbor is an individual who has sprung from the same origin as yourself, a child of the same Father, created for the same end, belonging to the same Lord, redeemed at the same price: the infinitely precious blood of Jesus Christ. See in him a member of the same Head, Christ, and of the same body, the Church of Christ. He’s nourished by the same food, the precious Body and Blood of Jesus Christ. For this reason you should be of one mind, one soul, and one heart with him.

  3. When I encounter difficulties with someone, how do I view the person involved? • How might things change if I treated them as children of God redeemed by Christ as I am?
