  2. Review • Everyone is welcome • Following Jesus begins with sitting and listening • Following Jesus will bring you to honesty about your need for Christ • Those who want to follow Christ must count the cost. Are you a fan or follower?

Luke 18:28-30 “Peter said to him, “We have left all we had to follow you!” “I tell you the truth,” Jesus said to them, “no one who has left home or wife or brothers or parents or children for the sake of the kingdom of God will fail to receive many times as much in this age and, in the age to come, eternal life.””

  4. Context – Luke 18:18-27 Q: Good teacher what must I do to inherit eternal life? A: Why do you call me good? What do the commandments say? Response: I’ve kept them from my youth Instruction: Go sell all you have.Response: He became very sad.

  7. II. “To Follow You” How to follow: 1. Present yourself to God • Learn to hear His voice in His Word and in your heart. • Use your gifts in ministry where you are planted • Share your faith when you have opportunity

  8. III. Christ’s Re-affirmations! • Multiplied many more in this life • In the age to come – eternal life!

  9. CFS counselor Jose Forbes contracted blastomycosis (a fungal infection of the lungs) and was admitted to the hospital July 29th. On Saturday, Aug 3, Jose was admitted into heaven.
