James Tralie Mrs. Logerstedt Social Studies-3 February, 26, 2011 The Most Significant Event During the Month of February I believe that the most significant event that took place during the month of February was the protests in Egypt. This is primarily because the events that took place dove the president, Hosni Mubarak, out. Additionally, all of the protests, marches, civil disobedience, labor strikes and violent attacks that took place between protestors and security, led to the deaths of at least 384 people. Also, the events that took place in Cairo, Egypt, and surrounding cities have influenced the actions of other countries, like Libya. This is why the protests in Egypt had the biggest impact in the news in the month of February.
