Round 1 • Who can apply: • Current F1 doctors allocated to the Wales Foundation School via the UK Foundation Programme Recruitment Scheme for 2012/13 • If you were allocated your post via Local Health Board (LHB) appointment, you are not eligible to join the F2 Matching Scheme. • Should there be any vacancies available once matching is complete, we anticipate these posts will be advertised by LHBs in March 2013. If you require further information, please contact your local Foundation Programme Director. • Monday, 26thNovember 2012 on-line Matching Scheme Round 1 opens – Foundation Doctors complete an application form and select 8 F2 programmes. Monday, 10thDecember 2012 applications close. • Consultants rank applications between Wednesday, 9th January 2013 and Wednesday, 23rd January 2013. Round 2 Applicants who were not allocated a post in Round 1 will need to apply in Round 2. Tuesday, 29th January 2013Round 2 opens. Applicants select a further 8 programmes. Friday, 1st February 2013 Round 2 applications close. Consultants rank applications between Friday 1st February 2013 and Friday 8thFebruary 2013. Any applicants who were not allocated a programme by this date will automatically go into Round 3 where further matching will take place. Round 3 will take place between Tuesday 12thFebruary 2013 and Friday 22nd February 2013. Results for all rounds of matching will be announced on Monday 25thFebruary 2013. Please inform Sioned Edwards if your contact details have changed since the F1 recruitment process: F2 MATCHING TIMETABLE AND PROCESS 2013/14 • IMPORTANT • Special Circumstances:- • If you have special circumstances (i.e. health issues, carer responsibilities or a terminally ill relative) which should be taken into consideration when allocating you an F2 programme, please complete a special circumstance application which can be downloaded from: http://www.walesdeanery.org/index.php/en/foundation-policies-and-procedures.html • Deadline – Monday 5thNovember 2012. • Time out of Foundation Programme (TOFP) August 2013 - July 2014. • A limit of 17 Foundation Doctors will be permitted to take TOFP for their F2 year. • Applicants will be chosen at random. • Applications will only be accepted between Monday 5th November 2012 and Friday 16th November 2012 • Please note that incomplete applications will not be accepted, and all required signatures must be obtained prior to submission. • Successful applicants will be notified by Friday 23rd November 2012. • Application forms and guidance notes can be obtained from: http://www.walesdeanery.org/index.php/en/foundation-policies-and-procedures.html • Inter Foundation School Transfer • If you are considering a Foundation School transfer please contactSioned Edwards, by Monday 5th November 2012 (You will need to confirm the deadline of the school to which you are applying).
