  2. What is it?? Novell GroupWise is a secure, dynamic collaboration solution. It can manage your… • Email • Calendar • Contacts • Task Lists • And much more! You can access GroupWise using the software OR web client from anywhere in the world!

  3. Why do we use it?? • GroupWise is offered by Messiah College ITS • GroupWise is accessible from any location • GroupWise allows us to free our minds • GroupWise encourages greater collaboration • GroupWise can be ported to a PDA or other device

  4. Group Accounts… The Collaboratory has arranged for each Group to operate a generic Collaboratory account!

Group Accounts… Group accounts serve the Group in: • Providing a single channel of communication with outside partners • Providing a means to archive communications • Providing a means to login to campus computers and print to campus printers • Keeping an updated watchlist on the Wiki • More to come on this later…

  6. Software vs. Web Client Most features of the Software Client are duplicated in the Web Client, however the Software Client is more robust and easy-to-use. Web Client Software Client http://mymail.messiah.edu/ K:/USERNAME/utility/Install GroupWise Client.lnk For the purposes of this demonstration, only the Software Client will be used
