  5. Many Drivers = High Profile • New Deal / EWTD • MMC • Pay modernisation: Agenda for Change, New Consultant Contract and New GP Contract • Waiting Times • New ways of working (Role Development) • Workforce planning viewed as long term solution to these challenges.

  6. High Profile = SE Expects! • National, Regional and NHS Board plans • Desire that these will predict numbers and be costed. • Ideally “bottom-up” approach. • Accuracy will improve over time.
