Background • Urbanized HSTP Plan – • Developed in 2007; • Updated by working group in 2012; • Regional surveys & transportation inventory conducted; • Dialysis support group & employment questionnaires conducted; • Goals, Objectives, Strategies, & MOEs developed. Identified Need • Dialysis & Unanticipated Scheduling • Flexible Options for People with Disabilities, Seniors, & Medical Riders • Options that do not require 24-48 hour advance reservation. • Freedom of choice & independent living. • Currently no accessible taxi service exists. • Too many eligibility limited transportation programs.
