ERA-MORE - 2005 Action Plan Objectives • ensure the smooth operation of the Network at European and consequently at national level, • support coherence and guarantee good quality of the services provided by the individual Mobility Centres, • develop the European added value of the initiative as a whole, • facilitate the contact and cooperation between the members (mobility centres and bridgeheads), • enable the Commission to follow and monitor the development of the Network Bridgehead meeting 15/03/2005

  3. ERA-MORE - 2005 Action Plan Enable the staff of the Mobility Centres to provide coherent and high-quality services to researchers and their families by: • exchanging good practice, sharing expertise and • acquiring new competences. Bridgehead meeting 15/03/2005

  5. Training courses/Information sessions Objective: Acquiring new knowledge and competences in a systematic way, thus enhancing the overall knowledge base of the network members Trainers: Experts in a given field (involving Commission staff) Bridgehead meeting 15/03/2005

  6. Training courses/Information sessions Training courses: focus on clear learning objectives to be acquired during the course, based on an interactive approach Information sessions: lecture character, focus on knowledge transfer Bridgehead meeting 15/03/2005

  7. Training courses/Information sessions Suggested subjects: • Marketing and communication, • European legislation in relevant fields (social security, taxation, entry conditions, IPR). Bridgehead meeting 15/03/2005

  8. Training courses/Information sessions On demand training to be provided by the Commission in the countries: How to use the European portal as a daily working tool for the Mobility Centres and CIRCA as the internal communication platform. Bridgehead meeting 15/03/2005

  9. Workshops • Interactive seminars to exchange views on a given subject, combining both expertise within the network and external advice • Based on input from the participants • Discussion of ideas around a specific topic • Suggestions for further action Bridgehead meeting 15/03/2005

  11. Working groups • Network members work together on a given subject in a problem-solving perspective • Working groups meet on a regular basis in order to suggest solutions to a given problem or to produce reference material • Input for the annual conference Bridgehead meeting 15/03/2005

Working groups Suggested working groups: • Quality of services provided by the Mobility Centres (evaluation tools, performance indicators, tracking of requests), • Technical experts for the national portals, • User group of the network’s internal communication platform (CIRCA) Bridgehead meeting 15/03/2005

Bridgehead meetings • Organised 2-3 times a year • National coordinators meet and discuss progress in the different countries among them and with the Commission • Monitor the overall development of the ERA-MORE network and identify possible needs and further actions • Exchange experiences and material • Platform for the Commission to oversee the dynamic development of the network Bridgehead meeting 15/03/2005

Annual conference • Key networking instrument for the ERA-MORE members • Concept combines plenary presentations with practice-oriented workshops • Input for the programme of the annual conference is expected from: • the daily work of the Mobility Centres, • the implementation of the national work programmes • the European animation activities.   15. Internal communication platform • Create an internal ERA-MORE communication platform that matches the need of the large network, in particular: • searchable database of network members, including photos of network actors, • calendar function for events at European and national level, • circulation of respective material, including national newsletters, • reinforcement of interactive parts (newsgroups) • User group will be closely associated Bridgehead meeting 15/03/2005
