  3. Columbus Columbus was looking for a faster route to Asia to trade spices. Christopher Columbus sailed from Spain to North America in 1492 (That’s before your grandparents were born!)

  4. Christopher Columbus had 3 ships: • Pinta • Nina • Santa Maria

  5. Life on a Ship • They ate meat, cheese, honey, raisins, rice, and fish. • They traveled for 5 LONG weeks.

  6. After sailing for 5 weeks, he discovered... • AMERICA!
