This proposed ordinance amendment aims to replace the requirement for a licensed master plumber on the Board of Adjustment and Appeals of Underground Utilities Pipeline Contractors with a state-certified or county-certified underground utilities contractor.

Ordinance Amending Orange County Code Section 9-475 October 27, 2009
Current Ordinance Board of Adjustment and Appeals of Underground Utilities Pipeline Contractors Members appointed by the BCC: • Three members shall be either state certified general contractors, state certified underground utilities contractors, state certified plumbing contractors, or county certified underground utilities pipeline contractors • One member shall be a licensed master plumber • One member shall be a professional engineer registered in the state
History Since 1998 the Board of Adjustment and Appeals of Underground Utilities Pipeline Contractors has not been able to fill the licensed master plumber seat as required by the code.
Proposed Ordinance Amendment • Replace the licensed master plumber with • One member that shall be either a state certified underground utilities contractor or a county certified underground utilities contractor
