Effective meetings extend before and after the actual meeting time. • BEFORE: • Set agenda and send to team • Collect data, review, and prepare summary statements • DURING: • Follow agenda & time frames • Review data • Make precision problem statements • Develop solutions • Take notes and set action items • AFTER: • Complete action items • Follow-up on action item status

  4. The importance of systems review The leadership team plays a critical role in developing systems to support universal and targeted practices • Create procedures for all targeted interventions. • Communicate to staff and families • Create links between universal and targeted systems

Team Time As a leadership team: • Use the Leadership Team Meeting Self-Assessment tool to reflect on the functionality of your leadership team meetings. • Review the targeted level systems checklist and planning tool to assess the systems that support your leadership team. • Be prepared to share with the large group the following: • One strength of your leadership team based on your self-assessment. • One action step that your team identified after reviewing your system supports.
