Conference Program Planning - Integrating TLT Ministry Program Planning for Pathfinders: • Junior Pathfinders (grades 5-8) program for grade 7. • PF Camporee, PF Bible Experience, PF Fair • Teen Pathfinders (grades 7-10) program for grade 9. • PF Teen Retreat, PF Teen Events (high-adventure) • TLT Pathfinders (grades 9-12) program for grade 11. • PF Leaders Convention, PF TLT Convention Beyond Pathfinders: • Master Guide (Collegiates) program for young adults. • High-Adventure Teen Events planning & facilitating
Leadership Development Program (see TLT Manual pg. 14) • Club Leadership Skills Development • Attend Club staff meetings • Accept leadership responsibilities • Conference Leadership Skills Development • Attend area/district-level staff meetings • Attend conference leadership trainings • Union Leadership Skills Development • Attend union leadership training • Assist in developing collegiate ministries
Developing a Conference TLT Academic Credit Option Adventist education curriculums are endorsed by the Union Education Department. (see TLT Manual pg. 15) • Use the TLT Manual as your curriculum • Establish a Conference TLT Council • Involve Conference PIAs as your instructors • Hold a Conf-sponsored TLT Convention • After one year, present a proposal to your Conference Education Superintendent
Qualifications for TLT Workshop Instructors In educational systems teachers must have some type of teaching endorsement for an educational program to be accredited. (see TLT Manual pg. 14) • College degree in education or ministry • PF staff who have, or are enrolled in, the Pathfinder Instructor’s Award or equivalent • Expert in the field of the subject being taught
Establishing a Conference TLT Council The purpose of a Conference TLT Council to plan and direct the TLT Ministry of the Conference. (see TLT Manual pg. 9 sidebar) • Write a proposal to the Conference Pathfinder Director requesting to form a TLT Council • Conference Pathfinder Director or Pathfinder Executive Council to appoint a Conference-level TLT Coordinator.
