  4. Technical Issues • Streams of saound, image, video, map must be synchronized: compression and transmission • Multiple resolutions, representations, and interpretations – learning • Multiple indexing schemes and retrieval methods • Computing and communications overheads

  5. A Challenge • An user interface for multimedia content-based access will be different from the usual web-based interfaces
