One VRE to Join Them All Combines portal based VRE systems with Access Grid technologies using the Portal Access Grid client Access Grid allows people to collaborate Group to group communication with audio and video Text chat for back-channel communications Uses lesser known AG technologies to exchange Data and share Applications Shared applications Shared data Bringing GRID back into Access Grid
OneVRE concepts PAG running in multiple VRE (portals) working as intermediary between collaboration users Creating Venues on the fly creating Virtual Organizations Monitoring venues of Virtual Organizations Exchanging certificates for venues between PAG servers Using invitation principle for venues Exchanging Data and sharing applications across multiple portals through the AG virtual Venue
OneVRE developments OneVRE includes a Venue Server Removes the Concept of the venue from the User Allows to create Venues on the Fly User sees only the Virtual Organisation he is member of Allows to monitor Virtual organization without entering a Video Conference (Skype like interface to view who is online) OneVRE brings GRID back into Access Grid OneVRE uses GRID (proxy-)Certificates to secure the Venues Certificates will be created through a process based on SARoNGS Signing on to Shibboleth -> creates a certificate → signing in to the portal through the automatic provision of VO credentials by SARoNGS Merging certificate an local portal Information to create OneVRE information Authentication for the Virtual Venues through X509 Proxy Certificates
OneVRE integrations OneVRE integrates technologies that fit LowBAG Low Bandwidth Bridge for PAG developed by a placement Student SARoNGS (Shiboleth Access to Resouces on the NGS) ViCo VRE libraries in PAG Communications with MyGrid about the Taverna access as shared application ... and whatever we can get our hands on ;-) PAG code-base integration
