WHAT WORKS • Get to know your students • Prepare quality, engaging classroom experiences • Encourage attendance and participation • Be alert to signs of students in distress • Poor Attendance • Disinterested • Incomplete Assignments • Evaluate Often • Encourage out of class conferences • Attend campus events, invite students to do the same • Communicate concerns with Student Services Staff
