Case Studies • Contract Name: Ann Arundel County Telecommunications Assessment Project for Municipal Services • Agency: Ann Arundel County, MarylandOffice of Information Technology • Dates: 2005 through 2007 • Value: $5.5 mil (value of all task order awards active in 2006) • Description:Anne Arundel County’s Office of Information Technology tasked ARETL to conduct an assessment of its current telecommunications infrastructure, to develop comprehensive network/design solution and provide implementation support for the telecommunications system that supports the County’s municipal services. This includes: • Conduct an assessment of the current telecommunications infrastructure and develop recommendations pertaining to improvements in technology, and resources to meet near-term and long-term requirements • Develop a telecommunications Evolution Plan (TEP) consistent with the mission of OIT and its budget process. • Support OIT efforts in developing a standardized equipment and services platform. 7
